FERN PromotionFERN is pursuing a very important educational, research, and charitable mission: advancing global foresight culture by improving the accessibility and quality of foresight education (K-12, undergraduate, graduate, and professional) and foresight research (academic, institutional, and corporate), including the availability and quality of free, open access foresight materials on the open web.
We also have a number of ongoing projects to advance our mission, including our student-run unconference, global foresight directory, people database, employers and jobs wiki, publications community, foresight degree programs guides and foresight frameworks database.
We need to get word about our organization and its projects out to the global foresight community, get foresight students, educators, employers and alums coming to our unconference, and get foresight professionals entering their information in our always free and open access databases and improving our always free and open access directories. We need to get more quality applicants to graduate foresight programs by raising their visibility and providing career support to their graduates. We need folks writing foresight articles and books to know about our pre-print feedback community, to improve the quality, diversity, and use of foresight publications. In short, we need good promotion.
Frank Spencer is the current FERN promoter, and he'd love to have help.
If you have interest or talent in marketing, advertising, branding, public relations and the production of media that will advance and define the FERN brand (blogs, videos, slide shows, podcasts, news releases, and other media) and raise our awareness and attractiveness to all the foresight-oriented folks we can reach, please consider joining Frank to set up the first FERN promotional team.
