FERN FundraisingFERN is pursuing a very important educational, research, and charitable mission: advancing global foresight culture by improving the accessibility and quality of foresight education (K-12, undergraduate, graduate, and professional) and foresight research (academic, institutional, and corporate), including the availability and quality of free, open access foresight materials on the open web.
We also have a number of ongoing projects to advance our mission, including our student-run unconference, global foresight directory, people database, employers and jobs wiki, publications community, foresight degree programs guides and foresight frameworks database.
John Smart is the current FERN fundraiser, and he'd love to have help.
Many donors, both big and small, inside and outside the foresight field, can get excited about our mission and projects. Fundraisers are folks who are committed to the value of a particular set of charitable cause, who know there are many others who see the social value of the cause, and who enjoy finding and motivating those people to play an integral part in the organization's mission by providing financial support in the right ways, at the right times, and in sufficient amounts to make a difference. If you have interest or talent in this area, please consider joining John to set up the first FERN fundraising team.
