Our community and the world needs a free and relatively comprehensive global public database of foresight students, educators, researchers, and professionals with experience and interest in all the primary foresight specialties.

For our starter list of a few hundred individuals, see our wiki-based Foresight Students and Alumni - Global List, and Foresight Educators, Researchers, and Professionals - Global List on GlobalForesight.org.

This wiki needs to be converted to a free and open public database that can be updated and searched by anyone on the web. Everyone in the above foresight communities needs to be emailed about the database, so that they can easily add or edit their own entries. Some potential uses:

  • Finding out relevant details (foresight specialties, publications, projects) for anyone in our community.
  • Finding free and low-cost foresight speakers and experts (speaker and expert database) for any function.
  • Finding thesis advisors.
  • Finding potential employers.
  • Finding potential employees.
  • Finding potential mentors.
Starting this project is a high priority, but in order to begin it needs both a Director lead (to work with and supervise Volunteers) and a Volunteer lead (to serve as volunteer team leader).

Interested in starting this project for the community? Email a director you'd like to work with (see the FERN home page) and let's begin.
